Schengen visa applications in the USA now being handled by visa centers
On December 2, 2019, in cooperation with the outsourcing service provider VFS Global, the Visa Aplication Centers for Lithuania were launched in the United States of America.
All applications for Schengen visa could be submitted at Visa Application Centers in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco (coming soon), Chicago, Washington D.C., Huston. The advantages include long working hours in strategically convenient places in the cities, on-site additional services (travel insurance, photography, etc.).
Applications for Schengen visas lodged in Visa Application Centers will be forwarded to the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Chicago, which will carry out the necessary application procedures. The decision on the issue of visa shall be made within 15 to 30 days, in specific cases up to 60 calendar days.
