Procedure for appealing decisions of consular officers
A notarial act performed by a consular officer or a refusal to perform a notarial act may be appealed to the Vilnius City District Court no later than within the periopd of 20 days from the day on which the person filing the appeal learned or should have learned about the performance of the appealed act or the refusal to perform it, but no later than within 90 days from the performance of the appealed act.
Other decisions of a consular officer may be appealed in accordance with the procedure established by the Law on Administrative Procedure of the Republic of Lithuania and the Law on Administrative Dispute Commissions of the Republic of Lithuania to the Lithuanian Administrative Dispute Commission (Goštauto street. 12-100, LT-01108 Vilnius, Lithuania) or the Regional Administrative Court (Žygimantų street. 2, LT-01102 Vilnius, Lithuania) within 1 month from the date of service of the notice of the act (refusal to perform the act) to the interested party.
