Until further notice, the Consulate General in New York will not accept citizenship applications

Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the backlog of applications to issue/renew Lithuanian passport, the Consulate General of Lithuania in New York provides only urgent consular services to Lithuanian citizens. Until further notice, the Consulate General in New York will not accept applications of foreign citizens for the reinstatement of Lithuanian citizenship.

If urgent, we recommend you to submit e. application through Lithuanian Migration Information System (MIGRIS). Please note that when providing e. application through MIGRIS, applicants or their legal representatives will have to book a visit to the Migration Department in Lithuania and bring all the original documents, the copies of which were attached to e. application.
